I purchased this lovely statue for my brother's birthday. Saint Joseph is the patron saint of Fathers, workers (men who work with their hands) and of a Holy death. My brother is a father of three, a builder, and I hope he outlives me. He was quite moved, apparently, when I gave him his gift, along with a letter of course, and I was very happy with this purchase - the sleeping Saint Joseph, letting us know that we must all, at some point, take rest.

I have been wishing to have sleeping Saint Joseph in my home altar. If you have a crucifix, a statue of Our Blessed Virgin Mary and sleeping St Joseph, you are so blessed. You have the Holy Family living in your home. If you write some petitions, requests and wishes, write them on a piece of paper then put inside St Joseph’s bed and pray the rosary. Your prayers maybe granted. He watched your home and making sure you and your family lives in peace and harmony.

St. Joseph, the protector of the Holy Family, is peaceful at rest in this beautiful statue. I ordered it in the "wooden brown" color, and it looks just like the pictures. It is a heavy, well-made statue, and a daily reminder: St. Joseph, despite his infinitely important mission in life, was able to turn his cares over to Divine Providence at the end of the day. The statue reminds me - and my family - that we can choose to do the same. In addition, I love the base, which opens, inviting our family members to share individual worries and cares with St. Joseph, who will intercede for us in heaven with his Divine Son, as he helps us to carry our burdens while we sleep here on earth. This lovely statue is truly a beautiful reminder of this truth.

I bought one for myself and I just bought two more for my children. St. Joseph is sleeping. The Angel appeared to St. Joseph many times when he was sleeping.I was hoping the statue would be nice but it was beyond my expectation. It is truly lovely.You can pick it up and there is a rosary underneath.Someone told me to write a note with an intention I May have and slip it under the statue. I ask St. Joseph to bring my intention before God and if it is His will that my intention may be granted.

After reading Fr Calloway's book, Consecration to St Joseph, and his recommendation to obtain a statue of the Sleeping St Joseph, I searched online for such a statue and found this one. When it arrived and I opened the package, I found the statue to be so beautiful. St Joseph's face is lovely and so too are the colors and the size. It is just perfect how prayer intentions can be stored within the statue, never to be lost and always in the care of this beautiful Saint. So many prayers entrusted to him this way have been answered, so many intentions and needs taken care of by him. I recommend such a statue, as well as devotion to St Joseph, to every devout person.
